Start freeNo card required.

Example: NVDA, AAPL, META and AMZN, Oct 8 to 13, imported.

Step 1

Export your transactions from schwab.com.

Trades you place on thinkorswim are in the same history, so export them from schwab.com too.

  1. Sign in at schwab.com and go to Accounts, then History.
  2. Pick your account and open the Transactions tab.
  3. Choose the dates you want and click Search.
  4. Click Export at the top right and save the CSV file.

Step 2

Import the file into your journal.

TraderPier reads Schwab's columns for you, so there's nothing to set up.

  1. Open the journal and click Import CSV.
  2. Pick the Schwab CSV file and click Preview import.
  3. Check the trades in the preview, then click Import.

What imports

Your transactions become whole trades.

Imported

  • Every stock trade is imported with its date, symbol, side, quantity and price.
  • Each trade's fees and commissions are taken off your P&L.
  • Buys and sells are joined into whole trades, even when you scale out.

Not imported

  • Transfers, dividends and other money movements aren't imported, because they aren't trades.
  • Times of day aren't imported, because Schwab's file only lists dates.
Example: META and NVDA, Sep 2 to 29, replayed.

After the import

See each trade on its chart.

Open any trade to play its day back bar by bar. Add your entry and exit times in the trade's Edit view to mark them on the chart.

Then replay the day

Start the day over from your trade.

Once a trade has its times, redo it from just before your entry, or pick up from where you got out and watch what the stock did next.

Example: META, Sep 29, replayed.
